If you are looking for a versatile P-style bass guitar at a fair price, the Sire Marcus Miller P7 2nd Gen 4-String is definitely worth playing and actually even more worth plugging in. This 2nd Generation bass delivers you even more playing comfort and particularly diverse quality sounds. The 4-string also has some features that you won't actually find in this price range. You notice this when you place your hand around the familiar C-neck. The feel of this is now even more pleasing especially with the rounded Edgeless fingerboard. This fretboard has also been given a flatter 9.5-inch radius and slightly larger medium frets, making fast bass lines possible without changing the playing feel too much. Tuning stability and good intonation are aided by the Marcus Miller Modern - S bridge and Premium Open Gear tuning machines.

Marcus Miller P7 2nd Gen 4-String: from classic passive to modern active

Are you looking for those tasteful classic P-style sounds, but also want to go modern, solid or jazzy at times? Then this is the well-priced bass guitar that can offer you all that. It starts with the Marcus Super-PJ Revolution pickup set, giving you the familiar sounds with the split coil in the middle plus a J-style singlecoil at the bridge. Switch from passive to active using the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, however, and you suddenly have the power and versatility of an 18V preamp at your disposal. Passive you can shape your sounds with the familiar tone knob, but active you have at your disposal the versatility of a 3-band equaliser with a particularly potent mid sweep. With this Sire P7 2nd Gen 4-String, you can make sure your bass foundation is solid as a rock in many types of music.
