The Sire Marcus Miller V5 A5 Black has been designed for bassists who appreciate the authentic sound and look of a classic Jazz Bass. Thanks to its fully passive electronics, this 5-string bass delivers an open, dynamic tone with great definition and a natural response. The North American alder body ensures a balanced tonal character with tight bass tones and clear mid-range. The stylish black finish, black binding and black pickguard also give this V5 a timeless and professional look that will stand out on any stage.

Authentic vintage tone

The Marcus Vintage J-Revolution pickup set has been specially designed to reproduce the much-loved vintage Jazz Bass sound as faithfully as possible. With separate volume controls for both pickups and a master tone control, you can easily find the ideal balance between warmth, punch and clarity. As the V5 is fully passive, every nuance of your playing style is preserved. This makes this bass particularly well-suited to a wide range of musical styles, such as jazz, funk, soul, blues, pop and rock, where a natural and expressive bass response is desired.

Comfortable neck and reliable hardware

The roasted hard maple neck has been treated using a torrefaction process, giving the wood an extra-stable feel and a luxurious appearance. Combined with the rounded fretboard edges, the neck offers great playing comfort during long rehearsals and gigs. The 34-inch scale length, 46 mm wide-leg nut and premium open-gear tuning machines ensure a familiar playing feel and stable tuning. The Marcus Miller Vintage S bridge and chrome hardware complete the instrument and contribute to excellent sustain.
