The Sire Marcus Miller V7+ A5F Bright Metallic Red is a modern fretless 5-string electric bass guitar that combines the classic J-bass with contemporary playing characteristics. Thanks to the fretless ebony fingerboard, you get a smooth, expressive sound that lends itself perfectly to subtle glissandos and a vocal-like tone. The North American alder body provides a powerful foundation with rich bass tones, defined mid-range and a crisp attack. This makes the bass equally at home across a wide range of musical styles, from jazz and funk to pop, fusion and rock.
Versatile electronics and high-quality hardware
The V7+ A5F is fitted with a Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set and the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp with 3-band EQ and adjustable mid-frequency control. This allows you to switch easily between active and passive modes, whilst volume, tone control and pickup balance remain accessible in both modes. This gives you a wide sonic palette for both studio and live use. The Marcus Miller Modern S bridge with string-through-body construction ensures a tight response, greater sustain and stable intonation, whilst the premium open-gear tuning machines reliably hold the tuning.
Comfort for every bassist
In terms of playing comfort, too, this bass offers everything you’d expect from a modern instrument. The satin-finished hard maple neck with a comfortable C-profile sits comfortably in the hand and features rounded fret edges normally found only on custom-shop instruments. The ebony fingerboard feels smooth to the touch and contributes to a clear, precise tone. With its striking Bright Metallic Red finish, tortoise pickguard, chrome hardware and white block inlays, this Marcus Miller V7+ A5F is also a real eye-catcher on any stage.
