If both you and your semi-hollow gigging mate are frequent flyers, you're going to demand a lot more from your hardcase. Ticking every possible box, the Gator Cases GTSA-GTR335 case has been built exclusively for the Gibson® 335® and similar semi-hollow guitars and has been fully approved by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration): the American agency in charge of guaranteeing air-travel safety. As such, the near-impenetrable, military-grade moulded polyethylene exterior is secured by centre-latch TSA locks, giving your guitar the maximum protection it deserves. Inside, the luxuriously soft plush lining hugs the sensitive body from all sides, and the neck rests on an integrated support which doubles as an accessory compartment. To finish, this case has been fitted with a comfy soft-grip handle.

Wrote the following about Gator Cases GTSA-GTR335 Case for Gibson® 335®

Decent budget case but I had to heavily modify mine to make it suitable for standard use and flight travel by custom cutting different types of foam and relining with velvet. I did have a Heritage 535, which is thinner than a standard 335. Little to no neck support, headstock was at a crazy angle and liable to snap, slid around inside. Even after that I'm probably going to buy something with more protection. A latch on a van boot punched a Hole straight through the shell. Made of styrofoam under the lining. I always recommend customising your instrument case as they are often not an exact fit.
