General

Built for beginners looking for a more unique twist on a T-style electric guitar, this is the Fazley Outlaw Series Coyote Plus SS. This model has been set up with a solid ash body finished with a hand-rubbed stain to bring out the wood grain and complete a rare and refined looked. As such, every example of the Coyote Plus is genuinely unique. This fierce guitar also comes complete with a gig bag.

The Outlaw Series Coyote Plus SS

Besides the striking look and despite the affordable price-tag, this guitar has some pretty high-end build details. The maple neck has been roasted: a specific treatment where the wood is literally heated to remove moisture and maximise stability, and this level of stability has been carried through to a fixed Wilkinson bridge and Graph Tech TUSQ nut to support firm tuning and intonation. In short, this instrument serves up reliability and snug comfort as well as the ferocious bite and growl of a pair of single-coil pickups.

It's a nice guitar for the price paid which has to be taken into account (around £117). There's a nice weight to the body and the neck is very nice roasted maple. The hardware is great in some areas especially the Wilkinson bridge and Tusq nut though the tuners are a bit of a let down (I've replaced those with Wilkinson EZ-Lok tuners). Surprisingly, I found the setup pretty spot on out of the box, just some slight tweaks for intonation, the action was fine. Further down the line, I'll replace the pickups but they are adequate. Put on a new set of strings and you won't be disappointed.

Nice guitar and good value for money. However it was delivered with a faulty jack socket and a very high action. Neither difficult for me to fix but not good if the purchaser is a beginner.
Along with the previous comment from 'Steve'it would indicate there is a problem with quality control either at the factory or when dispatched from BAX.

Vol verwachting klopt zijn hart... En het is hoe dan ook veel gitaar voor het geld. Met opmerkelijk goed klinkende pickups! Ik vind de manier hoe de 3 stukken van de ash(!) body zijn gelijmd niet mooi, aangezien je dat goed ziet door de afwerking. Mijn gitaar had wat kleine dingen (kras in een fret die je voelde met snaar opdrukken en een fret stond omhoog), maar na een afstelbeurt goed bespeelbaar. Het geluid van de pickups en de sustain van de gitaar is achterlijk goed voor deze prijs.

Echt ongekend hoeveel gitaar je krijgt voor deze prijs. Natuurlijk is hij niet afgewerkt of afgesteld als een fender van 1000 piek, maar dat kun je ook niet verwachten voor dit geld. De doorzichtig-achtige verf komt echt super gaaf uit met de houtstructuur die zichtbaar blijft en is (in mijn mening) zeker in deze aqua-blauwe kleur echt een plaatje om te zien. Als ik er iets negatiefs over zou moeten zeggen is het dat hij wat aan de zware kant is, maar dat komt de klank dan weer ten goede. Aanradertje!
