Fazley Vintage Series FSC318 Sunburst electric guitar starter kit

For the money this is a great little bedroom amp. It is not super loud (which is great in this situation) and has a great EQ with treble, high and low mids, plus bass. I have been really impressed with the tonal range on my basses through this amp, which is improved further by use of a compressor pedal. I also love the look of this amp; it has an early 60s vibe and is a cool little beasty. Speedy delivery from Bax as well.

Really great price for an essential little gadget. Works for any string instrument.

Bought one of these recently, considering this is probably the simplest electric guitar to build other makers seem to charge unreasonable amounts for their version of this classic instrument. Generally the Fazley is good, the neck and jumbo frets feel good and the p90 is very authentic sounding. I needed to lower the action and adjust the intonation. The fretboard is poplar which is not as resilient as rosewood or ebony. It is fine if the wood is sealed. The fretboard was very dry so I oiled it several times and polished the frets. The nut was not bad but I did need to cut it a fraction lower. The worst aspect of the guitar are the machine heads, I fitted a better set. Fazley are missing a trick here, if this had a better set of machine heads and a laurel fretboard and priced at £100 it would be a fantastic buy. As it is I am surprised, as once set up for £75 it plays and sounds pretty close to the real thing. I forgot one other issue was one of the bridge posts was badly drilled this is a critical part on this guitar design so I had to epoxy it in which worked fine. If you put in a little time, effort and a better set of machine heads this is an excellent guitar and a lot of fun. The p90 is surprisingly good and like the real thing cleans up when you back the volume off when using distortion

Absolutely love this thing ...decent setup out of the box and the single p90 pickup has some very nice grunt to it . The price of this les paul jnr is astonishing for what you get and I've paid plenty more for less . This was my first time ordering from Bax and I'm very pleased so much so ...just ordered a telecaster too..great

Spent a lot of time working on this guitar, The fret's were razor sharp the act was so high you could have run a bus under it. The machine heads really horrible about 12:1 very hard to tune even after replacing the strings. In the end I replaced the Machine heads, Changed the stirrings, filed all the fret ends and dress the frets, made serval adjustments to the trust rod in an attempt to get the action somewhere to playable and even replaced the nut which was badly cut.
Yes it cost me £85 what did I except.. clearly something better than what I got.

Does what it is supposed to do - connect my guitar to my amp. No problems so far.

For £81 I expected lots of set up problems and quality control issues. Not so. Quite the opposite. Apart from some fret edge sharpness this guitar is excellent. It took 5 minutes to set up and it plays really nicely with a low action. It looks fantastic too. The P90 sounds superb, the neck is super smooth and it stays in tune too. I'm lucky enough to own guitars costing over £300 that aren't as good as this Fazley.

My first Fazley guitar here’s my opinion out of the box 1. Light good looking guitar 2. Action nice and low 3. Sounds good pick up does the job well 4. No fret sprout slight adjustment of 2 machine heads just needed to be tightened 5. Close up the finishing is poor on the neck just untidy better QC required…. Overall for the price 7/10 l will be looking to purchase another Fazley soon and do a comparison!

This is the second Fazley guitar I am pleasantly surprised with. As usual easy to buy and delivered on time and double boxed in good condition. On unpacking one of the intonation screws was missing but a search in the bag the guitar was wrapped in located it.
Out of the box the guitar played fine apart from dull frets and the usual dry fretboard intonation was pretty good. However a quick set up and fret polish has made it great to play and sounds pretty good too with a wide range of tones from the two controls. The finish is pretty much faultless and the burst and grain on the top are very attractive.
This is the second Fazley guitar I have bought and I think for the price they are very hard to beat. Would I buy another Fazley guitar? If they are all like this then yes.
