Sire has clearly taken inspiration from the American brand with the three-letter acronym for the design of this Larry Carlton Q7, but also adds its own sauce. Thus, the basis of this classy instrument is a mahogany chambered body with a maple top. The result is an instrument with a rich basic sound with enough clarity to do justice to every note. Combined with the set-neck mahogany neck, you can count on an electric guitar with a full, warm sound.

Larry Carlton Q7: Fine playing experience

Remarkable for an electric guitar in this price range, the Q7 features a so-called 'Edgeless' ebony fingerboard. This means that the edges are neatly rounded, increasing playing comfort. With a 25-inch scale, it is just a bit longer than a traditional single-cut and just a bit shorter than an ST-style model. Combined with the 10-inch radius, this results in a guitar with a fine string tension, allowing you to press the strings with ease.

Eye for detail

Sire has opted for a Wilkinson WVP-6SB bridge. With this tremolo, you can add tasteful vibrato effects to your playing without the guitar quickly detuning. The bone nut also contributes to its stable base. Thanks to the Premium Locking tuning machines, you can also easily change the strings. The eye wants something too, of course, which is why the ebony fingerboard is inlaid with subtle pearloid/abalone blocks.
