That's no coincidence either: Yamaha have used a special technology they call "Acoustic Design", which is essentially a targeted way to hollow out the guitar in order to reduce its weight and enhance its resonance and 'energy'. After 'chambering' the axe, Yamaha added reinforcing carbon strips to the neck and body, before coating the whole thing in high-gloss Moonlight Blue lacquer and sealing it off with cream-white binding.
