General

Yamaha's A series has received a few welcome upgrades. The A1MII now features scalloped bracing underneath the top to increase the resonance in the low and mid-range frequencies. It also features an SRT piëzo pickup at the rosewood bridge and a System72 preamp. Just like its successful predecessor, this A1M has a solid spruce top, mahogany sides, back, and neck and a rosewood fretboard. The A1MMKII's neck has a familiar, comfortable profile and a layer of matte lacquer for a smooth, worn feel.

A1MII: acoustic, amplified and tuned

The acoustic tone of this steel-string Yamaha guitar is best described as dynamically rich with clear articulation and creamy, warm accents. To amplify the sound, there's a piëzo pickup and a preamp which work together to produce a transparent signal that can be sent directly to your amplifier or DI box. Use the volume controls and 3-band equalizer to fine-tune the sound just the way you like it. The focus frequency pot for determining the mids plays a big role in your adjustment options. Finally, the Yamaha A1MII also features an integrated tuner so you can rely on perfect pitch at any time!
