General

Er zijn zo enorm veel elektronische drumstellen dat je soms door de bomen het bos niet meer ziet. Gelukkig zijn er een aantal uitschieters voor ieder niveau en ieder budget. Zoals deze DDK-080 van Fazley. Dit drumstel is gericht op drummers die net beginnen en thuis een elektronisch drumstel willen hebben waar ze op kunnen oefenen. De module is vrij eenvoudig te bedienen en bevat eigenlijk alles dat je nodig hebt. Maar liefst 329 geluiden, 15 vooraf ingestelde kits, de mogelijkheid om zelf 10 drumkits samen te stellen en 10 leuke play along liedjes. De module heeft een 128 x 64 px LCD display en een Engelstalig menu. Uiteraard zit er ook een click-track in waar je bij mee kunt oefenen. Je kunt natuurlijk met een los verkrijgbare hoofdtelefoon drummen, maar het is ook mogelijk om de module aan te sluiten op een versterker. Dit drumstel is geschikt voor alle leeftijden!

Fazley DDK-080 elektronisch drumstel

De samenstelling van de DDK-080 is vijfdelig, met een hihat, crash en ride. De snaredrum en de drie toms hebben een diameter van 8 inch en hebben twee triggers (dual zone). De hihat, crash en ride bekkens hebben alledrie een diameter van 10 inch. Alle bekkens hebben een 'choke' functie, dat betekent dat als je de crash aanslaat met je stok - je het bekken weer kunt dempen door het met je hand vast te pakken. De bekkens hebben 1 trigger (single zone). Bij de DDK-080 zitten ook twee pedalen. Een bassdrumpedaal met ingebouwde trigger, en een hihatpedaal met ingebouwde trigger. Voordeel van dit soort pedalen is dat ze nergens tegenaan komen en trillingen door vloeren en muren dus minder zijn. Daarover gesproken - dankzij de gaasvellen op de toms en snare is het akoestische geluid dat je hoort als je aan het spelen bent minimaal. Natuurlijk zul je wel wat getik horen, maar het scheelt toch wel ontzettend veel! Ideaal dus als je in een appartement woont. En dankzij het compacte formaat van de drumpads en dat alles bevestigd is aan een eenvoudig in te klappen frame is dit drumstel ook perfect voor kleinere ruimtes, zoals bijvoorbeeld een slaapkamer of zolderkamertje.

The Crash, Hi-Hat and Ride are ALL fitted with the choke function!

The active area is over the seven raised dots or just behind the dots.

A fantastic Kit, easy to assemble and with an inspired look.

The voices are a fairly good range, but I would have preferred a few less standard kit sounds but with a small selection of Percussion voices such as Tambourine, Cowbell, Woodblock, Gong and Timpani etc.
Maybe it could be an option to return the module in the future to have it re-flashed with different voices?

The Bax Music Product guide says that the Cymbals have a Choke function, but I don't think they do!

Out of the box, the separation between Rim and Mesh sounds didn't require any tweaking; the only parameter I had to adjust was the sensitivity of the Crash!

The TEMPO button doesn't seem to have the Tap Tempo function suggested in the User Guide!

The way the drums mount makes the kit just that bit more compact; and as I never intend to purchase an acoustic kit; the Kick Trigger is just fine and matches (obviously) the 'feel' of the Hi-Hat.

The built in songs are adequate for learning the drums and unlike lesser kits, I think the Drum Mute function is a necessity.

With the option of an additional Cymbal (Crash 2) and fourth Tom, I would very much recommend this kit as a first-time purchase.

Echt een super set deze electronische drumstel.
Heb het in elkaar gezet, een drumsessie gedaan en staat nu weer tijdelijk in de opslag.
Plaats gebrek, mijn ogen waren groter dan de ruimte die wij hier hebben.
Maar echt, dit is heus een goede drumkit en raad het zeker aan.

Voelt aan als goedkoop ding en dat is het ook, geluid erg dof en mat, basgeluiden moeilijk te onderscheiden, klinkt als een opgeblazen box, imitatieleder bekleding oordoppen en hoofdbeugel gaat snel schilferen en laat stukjes los.
