General

The main difference from the 'regular' DDK-080 is that this DDK-080 Plus electronic drum kit comes with a separate bass drum trigger and a regular bass drum pedal. If you've never played drums before you might not notice it so much, but if you've played a drum kit before you're probably familiar with the feeling a beater gives when it hits the bass drum. You generally have a bit more 'feel' and control with a drum pedal hitting a pad than when the trigger is in the pedal itself. Apart from the bass drum upgrade, the drum kit is identical to the 'normal' Fazley DDK-080.

Tips or comments about this product

  • The first image shows the DDK-080. In this DDK-080 Plus drum kit, the bass drum pedal with built-in trigger has been replaced by a separate bass drum pad with a regular bass drum pedal. This can be seen in the fourth and fifth images.
  • Please note that the appearance of the pedals (hihat and kick drum) in the photos may differ slightly from reality.

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit This product comes with a 3-year warranty, the drum heads come with a manufacturing defects warranty.

An update!

The Crash, Hi-Hat and Ride are ALL fitted with the choke function!

The active area is over the seven raised dots or just behind the dots.

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit

A fantastic Kit, easy to assemble and with an inspired look.

The voices are a fairly good range, but I would have preferred a few less standard kit sounds but with a small selection of Percussion voices such as Tambourine, Cowbell, Woodblock, Gong and Timpani etc.
Maybe it could be an option to return the module in the future to have it re-flashed with different voices?

The Bax Music Product guide says that the Cymbals have a Choke function, but I don't think they do!

Out of the box, the separation between Rim and Mesh sounds didn't require any tweaking; the only parameter I had to adjust was the sensitivity of the Crash!

The TEMPO button doesn't seem to have the Tap Tempo function suggested in the User Guide!

The way the drums mount makes the kit just that bit more compact; and as I never intend to purchase an acoustic kit; the Kick Trigger is just fine and matches (obviously) the 'feel' of the Hi-Hat.

The built in songs are adequate for learning the drums and unlike lesser kits, I think the Drum Mute function is a necessity.

With the option of an additional Cymbal (Crash 2) and fourth Tom, I would very much recommend this kit as a first-time purchase.

Next purchase-Crash 2 and Fourth Tom!

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit

Woow!

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit

Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit

Speelt best heel lekker.
