With the Yamaha DTX6K5-M, you're getting the most souped-up electronic drum kit in the series. The biggest change compared to earlier models is the addition of a full set of Remo-developed mesh heads, so you're guaranteed the most natural and authentic playing feel going. Next to that, this complete kit comes with a high-grade DTX-Pro module, a 7.5 inch rubber kick pad, three 10 inch tom pads, a 12 inch snare pad, a 13 inch hi-hat, two 13 inch crashes and one 15 inch ride. Built for both serious professionals as well as ambitious beginners, this e-kit has been built to inspire drummers to sit down and play.

Beyond the mesh-heads, the included set of pads bear outstanding design features. The tom pads and the snare pad all feature two zones, so that the rim can be set up to trigger a different sound from the batter head. Both crashes, the ride and the hi-hat feature three playable zones apiece and since the ride has a 15 inch diameter, it also responds and moves like a ride should. The hi-hat also comes with a sensor and stand and, so that everything can be set up in detail to match your posture, Yamaha has included an RS6 rack.

The Yamaha DTX-Pro module serves as the mind of this extensive kit, and what a mind. Pre-loaded with the highest quality samples, kits and presets, plus plenty of space to build and save your own kits, this module brings all the goods. For a more custom kit sound, your own samples can also be loaded in via a USB stick and, to support everything from home rehearsals to gigs, the module has been kitted out with a headphone output, an AUX input, two jack outputs, a MIDI output (both USB and 5-pin DIN) and a USB input for sample loading. Even your smartphone or tablet can be coupled up, and we'd recommend it, since it'll open up a whole world of extra options via the DTX Touch App, where you can control sounds and change module settings via a clean and clear interface.
