Part of Blackstar's popular DEPT.10 collection, the Amped 1 is a 100-Watt guitar amplifier in compact pedal-form. This travel-ready, pedalboard-compatible amp pedal is housed in a lightweight aluminium unit and can be immediately combined with other effects and amp modellers, but it also packs more than enough headroom and power to support a matching 8 or 16-Ohm speaker cabinet. If needed, the output capacity can even be kicked down one or two notches to 20 Watts or 1 Watt and, thanks to the patented TVP-technology and response control, you have the pick of five different power amp emulations, plus a transparent linear voicing that will go well with any amp modeller you already have.

The Amped 1: Authentic Power Amp and Speaker Cab Simulations

The five built-in simulations mimic the famous sound of KT88, 6L6, EL34, 6V6 and EL84 valves, but the DEPT.10 Amped 1 also offers three different Cab Rig simulations that you can send out via the XLR DI and USB port for recording. Meanwhile, you can toggle between presets with the right footswitch, while the left footswitch triggers a studio-quality reverb with freeze function. Using the special Architect software, this reverb effect and more can be edited in minute detail, wrapping up a guitar amp pedal aimed at die-hard tone chasers with a soft spot for compact-yet-complete rigs.

Wrote the following about Blackstar DEPT.10 Amped 1 100W Guitar Amp Pedal

Superb amp in a compact size. Ideal for adding to my pedalboard. I've played it via direct monitoring with my focusrite scarlett 8i6 interface to experience the huge range of tone options available through the architect software. I've also been playing it through a cabinet to fully experience all that it's 100W has to offer and I was disappointed!

It works really well with my pedals via the FX loop and the ability to power two additional pedals directly from the amp is a very nice touch. Delighted with this, zero complaints!

Bevalt in alle opzichten, veel keuzes qua geluidsinstelling die ook werkelijk een verschil maken. Eigenlijk typisch Blackstar, goed over nagedacht en fijn te bedienen in de praktijk. Goede keus, ben er erg blij mee. Enige opmerking zou zijn toch vrij groot voor pedalboard en de reverb kan beter. Maar dat kan een persoonlijke voorkeur zijn.
