Installing an EMG cartridge

EMG's elements come very complete. You simply get everything you need to convert your guitar to one with active pickups. So there are no unpleasant surprises during installation. For instance, potentiometers for volume and tone control are included, which are specifically aimed at active elements. These 25k potentiometers are already prepared for the EMG Quik-Connect system, eliminating the need for soldering.

• Several active element manufacturers use their own solderless systems. Therefore, the EMG Quik-Connect system is not compatible with solderless systems from other manufacturers.
• Only connecting to the element switch requires soldering. With the separately available EMG ST-style 3-position switch, soldering becomes unnecessary (see combination advantage).
• If you have a guitar with a long-shaft output jack, you need to replace it with a separately available stereo one (see combination advantage).
