The revolutionary EMG 81 active humbucker features powerful ceramic magnets for an intense, sustain-rich sound. Thanks to its high output, tight lows, razor-sharp trebles and extra-beefy pinch harmonics, this pickup has been the go-to for countless metal guitarists for decades.
EMG Quik-Connect System
EMG's pickups come as part of a complete set-up, giving you everything you need to overhaul your electric guitar and kit it out with active pickups. As such, the EMG 81 Black comes including matching volume and tone controls which are fully prepped for EMG's Quick Connect system and solder-free installation, plus mounting hardware, a stereo jack output, a wiring loom and a battery clip.
Tips or comments about this product- Please note: Each manufacturer of active pickups make use of their own solder-free systems. The EMG Quik-Connect system is therefore not compatible with solder-free systems by other brands.
- Soldering is only required for closing the pickup switch. Soldering is not required if you use the separately-available EMG ST-style 3-way pickup switch (see the package deal below).
- If your guitar has a long-shaft output jack, then you'll need to replace it with a long-shaft stereo jack (not included).

Installé sur une Hofner HCT Shorty (oui oui), c'est une vraie merveille !
Le son est cristallin, l'installation est facile (même si j'ai du sortir la défonceuse pour créer un espace pour la batterie... non fournie), c'est vraiment un investissement que je ne regrette pas !
