EMG S Ivory Active Single-Coil Guitar Pickup

The EMG S is an active ceramic single-coil guitar element designed for electric guitars with a single-coil pickup that could use a substantial upgrade in terms of tone. This model is based on the classic and powerful SA pickup, but with a different magnet for a tight and clear sound. This gives you that sparkling, open guitar sound of a single-coil, but without that annoying hum. The bar magnet provides a balanced sound, keeping even the sound of more wide tone bends stable.

S: suitable for every position, playing situation & very versatile

This single-coil element is very versatile for different musical styles from jazz and country to blues and metal in different playing situations. The EMG S over The low internal shielding and low impedance preamp of this pickup ensure that the S remains virtually silent without losing that characteristic bright and dynamic single-coil sound. Thanks to EMG's solderless wiring system, this element is easy to install without soldering. Just make sure the cavity(s) in the body for your guitar is big enough that for this active singlecoil. By the way, the EMG is suitable for both bridge, middle and neck positions.

• Different active element manufacturers use different proprietary solderless systems. The EMG quick connect system is therefore not compatible with solderless systems from other manufacturers.
