This is the Seymour Duncan SH-14 Custom 5 Bridge. You could simply describe this high-output Custom 5 pickup as the vintage 59 Bridge but twice as loud. This double-coil element was originally developed under the name Custom Custom in the Custom Shop, after Seymour Duncan was asked to create an Alnico 5 variant based on the beloved Custom humbucker. Incidentally, this double coil pickup is also handmade at Seymour Duncan's headquarters in Santa Barbara, California.

SH-14 Custom 5 Bridge: low and high excellently balanced with scooped mids

This Seymour Duncan humbucker gives you a full base tone, with the low and high excellently balanced and the midrange scoped. Its balanced guitar sound allows you to use it in a variety of styles and it is also excellent to combine with neck pickups like the 59 Neck and Jazz Neck. The 4-core cable also allows you to coil-split it or switch it in parallel via the appropriate connections. To counteract unwanted feedback while playing amplified guitar, this SH-14 Custom 5 is vacuum wax potted.
