The SH-14 Custom 5 Bridge Humbucker is based on Seymour Duncan's popular Custom Custom pickup and is kind of similar to the vintage '59 Bridge — just twice as loud. This hand-made, double-coil pickup was originally designed as part of a Custom Shop line-up after Seymour Duncan was asked to come up with an Alnico V-based version of their popular Custom Custom humbucker.

The SH-14 Custom 5 Bridge: Balanced Basses and Trebles Plus Scooped Mids

This potent humbucker spits full-and-balanced sound with a scooped mid-range, preparing it for a wide range of styles, as well as for a team-up with various neck pickups, including the '59 Neck and Jazz Neck. The SH-14 Custom Bridge comes wax-potted and fitted with four-conductor wiring so you can run it in parallel or hook it up to a coil-split switch.
