Not every humbucker is suited to the Nighthawk’s distinctive, slanted pickup routing, but Seymour Duncan offers the solution with this SH-1B slanted ’59 bridge version. The pickup is based on the much-loved ’59 Model and, thanks to hand-winding on the historic Leesona 102 machine, delivers a distinctively vintage tone: warm, open and full of character, just as you’d expect from late-’50s pickups. Thanks to the slanted mounting, the pole pieces align perfectly with the Nighthawk’s unique string layout, ensuring that balance and clarity in your sound are preserved. Featuring an Alnico V magnet, 42 AWG plain enamel wire and a four-wire connection, it offers flexibility, a penetrating attack and that characteristic mid-scoop. Whether you’re playing blues, classic rock or layered clean tones, your Nighthawk will gain extra character and dynamics.
