This is exactly why SE Electronics has offered up a simplified edition of their renowned SE4400 microphone: the SE4100. This large-diaphragm condenser microphone features the same natural sounding capsule and extremely low noise-floor, but with the added twist and convenience of a fixed cardioid polar pattern. The high-pass filter and -10dB/-20dB pad have both been retained from the original model, completing an incredibly versatile stereo pair. Activate the pad and comfortably set up these microphones to serve as drum kit overheads. Tweak the high-pass filter as needed and easily record an acoustic guitar, clean of overbearing lower frequencies and in full and rich, stereo sound.
