General
This Shure KSM microphone can do it all! With its flat full-range frequency response, it's capable of recording many different kinds of instruments and vocals. It's great for piano, guitar (both electric and acoustic), brass instruments, bass drums, percussion instruments and even entire ensembles. Not only that, feedback won't be a problem with the KSM32, as its cardioid pickup pattern ignores most background noise, picking up only that which is right in front of it. The ultra-thin gold-leaf Mylar diaphragm, meanwhile, takes care of the actual recording, and offers an excellent dynamic range, and the Class A preamp helpfully boosts the signal and sends it out via the XLR port. In short, this is a highly complete and versatile microphone.
