Als je in de microfoon kijkt, ziet de opbouw er slordig uit, zelfs een beetje amateuristisch; condensatoren die vastgelijmd(!) zitten op de print en waarvan de aansluitdraden door gaten in de print steken, waarschijnlijk met als doel teflon doorvoeren te besparen. Wat klank betreft vind ik de WA-87 absoluut niet op 'die andere 87' lijken. Het laag is aanzienlijk dunner en het hoog is 'snijdender'. Geen aanrader.

Een nadeeltje is dat de schroefdraad aan de onderkant van de microfoon (waarmee je de klem, de spin en de voet van de mic vastzet) erg ruw is gesneden, er komt wat ijzervijlsel vanaf. Los/vastdraaien gaat niet lekker, dat had beslist beter gekund. (oplossing is een beetje vaseline).Als je de mic openmaakt zie je mooi ontworpen electronica en een goeie Cinemag trafo. Deze mic is héél veel waar voor je geld.
