Harrison 32Classic MS Mix Strip

General

The Harrison 32Classic MS is an analogue channel strip: the familiar sound of Harrison consoles in the compact size of a 19-inch rack unit. The legendary 3232 console was used to record some of the most influential albums in the 70s and 80s. That's what this channelstrip is inspired by. The Jensen transformer on the microphone input is where the analogue sound begins. The input has line inputs in addition to a preamp for microphone and instruments. Basic features such as 48V phantom power, phase switching and a 20 dB pad are not missing. Multiple units can be linked, resulting in a mixer consisting of 19-inch rack units, which pays tribute to the Harrison sound.

Extensive filter section

Harrison's iconic equaliser and filters are also provided in this channel strip. A four-band parametric eq, with a frequency range of 40 Hz to 13 kHz, offers plenty of control over the sound. The low band runs from 40 to 600 Hz and, like the high band running from 900 Hz to 13 kHz, can be used in both bell, and shelf mode. The two middle bands, with widely overlapping ranges, offer a lot of control to, for example, absorb resonances or shape timbre. Separate low- and high-pass filters are not missing either. The 32Classic MS is a versatile channelstrip capable of creating characteristic recordings from many sound sources.
