General
Shure have developed this A89SW-KIT windscreen kit in collaboration with hardware manufacturer Rycote. This is a high-quality, professional way of getting to work in a weatherproof way! Outdoor recordings aren't a problem with this kit. Besides wind noise, handling noise is also effectively countered. The A89SW-KIT is specifically designed for the VP89S and VP82 shotgun microphones.
Dampening
The kit contains a deadcat (windscreen) of synthetic fur, a blimp and a grip with suspension. The configuration provides a maximum dampening of wind noise of no less than 38 dB. The blimp perfectly fits on the suspension and completely envelops the VP89S or VP82 in its entirety, for optimal isolation. A 3/8 to 5/8 inch screw thread adapter is also included. This kit is indispensable for ENG applications.
