General
Fully optimised performance: that's what Yamaha claim their CHR Series passive full-range speakers offer. The 15" CHR15 is part of the line-up, perfectly suited for FOH work and, like all speakers in the series, protected by a strong plywood housing coated in polyurethane lacquer. Inside, you'll find two custom-made speakers: a 15" woofer and a 1.4" high-frequency driver that combine forces to deliver incredibly tight, defined lows mixed with crisp mids and balanced trebles. Going back to optimised performance; hooking the CHR15 up to a Yamaha PX amplifier or any other amp loaded with DSP functions helps you pull the absolute max out of the speaker, since the combination sets you up with all of the options needed to dial in sonic perfection.

I just acquired a pair, working with a Yamaha PX5 amp which is configured with these allready preconfigured speakers setting, and it's absolutely fabulous, dynamic and power with excellent sound.
Yamaha have made real fantastic products with those amps and speakers.
