General
At first glance, the Fazley FRC618BK may look like a rather expensive guitar. It has a gorgeous mahogany body, two humbuckers and a sleek black finish that ensure it's more than easy on the eyes. Clearly, Fazley was inspired by the hollow-body guitars used by legends like the Byrds and the Beatles. It shares many characteristics with the American original, but luckily, the price point is not one of them!
Construction
This affordable eye-catcher has a mahogany body and a maple neck with a brown blackwood fretboard. It's equipped with two Fazley humbuckers, and the elaborate tone controls allow you to adjust its sound in a myriad of ways. With its hollowed-out body and set-in neck, the FRC618BK has a rich sound that will take you straight back to the '60s!

Overall, very very pleased. I put a new set of 12s on for strings and it stays in tune very well, so no complaints regarding the tuners. The pick ups are fine and the guitar looks beautiful. The finish is pretty good although the cut out is unfinished and you can see some pretty rough wood inside. Biggest fault was the action which was very high, but after adjusting truss rod it is now fine. I have owned/sold a famous USA guitar of similar shape. Yes, it was better quality. But not £1800+ better. This will do me fine.

Looks beautiful (I think nicer than the wood version - wish they did a Fireglow version) and sounds pretty good. You need to change the awful cheap strings as a priority. Action and intonation is good. The build quality is generally good, although the cutout hole is unfinished/untrimmed. The neck is deep and not very wide so it may not suit everyone but for around £130 you cannot complain. I still prefer my semi Gretch G2420 but that was twice the price. Delivery from BAX Music to the UK is from Belgium and takes between 5 and 7 days (tracking system isn't great) but it was very well packed and comes with an amp lead. The plastic film on the pick guard is tricky to remove and in the end I had to use a small craft knife to remove the remnants. Overall, very pleased so far.
