Construction and hardware

The flamed maple top of this Yamaha offers a clear, bright, focused tone. The 22-fret ebony fretboard and mahogany neck add some warm overtones and the solid block of wood that runs through this hollow-body guitar effectively prevents feedback. Despite its robust construction, the body is comfortably thin and the high-quality TOM-style bridge and rugged Yamaha machine heads ensure great tuning stability.

Hardware and electronics

Thanks to the two Yamaha Alnico V humbuckers, this SA2200 guitar packs a serious punch. There is a volume and tone control per pickup to offer you a wide array of sounds. What's more, you can use the split-coil function to use the humbuckers as single-coils! You can even adjust the height of the pickups, which is something you don't often see with this type of guitar. This distance from the body has a large impact on the sound so you can fine-tune it to perfection.
