General

Directly inspired by the semi-hollow classics, the Yamaha SA2200 Thinline Hollow Body features all of the vintage aesthetics you could ever want - right down to the f-holes. The lush grain of the maple top shines through the semi-transparent Brown Burst finish and hints at the pure class that this electric six-string has on offer. This deluxe Yamaha electric guitar comes complete with a case.

Construction & Hardware

The rest of the arched body has also been made from maple, carving out a bright and clear yet tight and focussed tonal foundation. The twenty-two-fret ebony fretboard couples with the mahogany neck to add a touch of natural warmth to the acoustic sound and, to effectively squash any unwelcome feedback, a solid block of wood runs right through the interior of the body, stabilising the build at the same time. This specific construction also allows for a thinner and more manageable body depth, raising the comfort levels, while the high-grade TOM-style bridge and fitted set of Yamaha machine heads assure solid tuning stability.

Electronics

The two mounted Alnico V humbuckers give the Yamaha SA2200 a hefty dose of amplified power. A volume and tone pot has been supplied per pickup for dialling in the specifics, but when the tone pots are popped out, both dual-coils can be split to unleash some single-coil-style growl and sparkle, doubling the sonic versatility and adding some modern flexibility to this impressive throwback model.
