The Duesenberg Starplayer CBR Hanover Gold Limited Edition is a stunning addition to the Starplayer range. Its looks are unmistakably Duesenberg, but there’s something different going on under the bonnet. This Starplayer CBR features a chambered mahogany body topped with a flat top made of beautifully flamed maple. This combination gives it a warm, powerful tone with that distinctive Duesenberg sound running through it. What’s more, thanks to the f-hole and the cut-away body, the guitar also feels surprisingly light. And you get a sturdy Duesenberg Custom Line case included!

Two pickups, five different sounds

Looking at the pickups, the combination of a bright GrandVintage humbucker at the bridge and a warm Domino P90 at the neck delivers a balanced tone and that recognisable Duesenberg sound. From mellow jazz to heavy rock, this CBR can do it all! Thanks to the brand-new Flextone+ wiring, you can use the 5-way switch (middle position) to filter low frequencies from the humbucker signal. This gives this Starplayer a bright, funky character in addition to the standard three pickup configurations! Five distinctly different sounds from just two pickups – what more could you want?

A guitar to grow old with

The Diamond Prestige Tremola with its flat-arm design is a subtle nod to the early Duesenberg years and delivers smooth tremolo effects whilst maintaining tuning stability. It’s also top-notch in terms of playing comfort: the maple neck has a medium D-profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard, making playing across the full length of the neck feel smooth. Each fretboard is precisely scanned and adjusted (PLEK) before being hand-finished by a Duesenberg luthier. In short: no annoying buzz or inconsistent tuning.
