General
The FP9500C single bass drum pedal by Yamaha comes with a double-chain drive and a nylon strap so you can choose which you prefer. If you want a light, smooth playing feel, use the nylon strap. For more power and speed, go for the double chain. The chain is easy to replace. You can also adjust the angle of the foot board as well as the angle of the beater.
The clamp that attaches the pedal to the bass drum is straightforward and offers plenty of grip. The pedal's frame is well-built and has a fixed base which results in a stable feel while playing. This pedal isn't going anywhere! No matter what you're playing, the included two-sided beater can handle it. Finally, this pedal comes in a soft case to protect it during transport or in storage.
