Built for professional work, whether in the studio, home studio, or commercially, and based on the much-loved cardioid KM 184, the slim housing and transmission character of the Neumann KM 183 omnidirectional microphone makes it perfect for a wide array of radio and television applications.

The Characteristics of the KM183

At the core of this microphone is a pressure-gradient transducer with a boost of around 7dBs at 10kHz in the open field, while the diffuse audio image has a flat frequency response. This 48V phantom-powered mike delivers a high-output, low-noise performance and shapes an especially clear sound with minimal colouring, while the hard-wearing body has been designed for intensive use.
