General

This microphone by Neumann is ideal for professional applications - home and commercial recording studios. The KM 183 omnidirectional microphone is based on the successful KM 184 cardioid mic. Thanks to its slim design and sound characteristics, the 183 is especially well suited for radio and TV applications.

Characteristics of the KM183

This microphone is a pressure transducer with a boost of approximately 7 dB at 10 kHz (open field). It has a flat frequency response. The KM 183 microphone uses 48V phantom power, producing high output and low noise. Furthermore, you are provided with a highly clear sound with very little distortion. All sensitive parts are well shielded in the capsule.
