General

The principle of the Beta 181 is a piece of engineering genius! The multifunctional technology allows you to place various capsules on the microphone, making it adjustable for every circumstance or application.

The different capsules all have their own pickup pattern. Cardioid, super-cardioid, bi-directional and even omnidirectional are all part of the possibilities!

This makes the Beta 181 a suitable partner in theatres or for mobile applications. Take a few Beta 181C microphones, a box of capsules, screw the capsules onto the microphones and you will be able to fully amplify a complete band with microphones that are all of the same type. A preamp has already been built-in, so that optimal signal distribution can be guaranteed. The body provides every capsule with the necessary voltage in order to pick up the optimal sound and amplify this.
