The 14 x 6-inch Yamaha AMS1460 GCS Gold Champagne Sparkle snare drum is definitely a real eye-catcher on stage. In a wave of inspiration, Yamaha combined maple and wenge together to form the shells, which provide you with a warm sound that is full of expression. Because wenge is a hardwood, it gives a nice kick when it's nestled between 6 layers of soft maple. With a total thickness of 6.2 mm, you can be sure that the shell can take a hit and will last for years.

Strainer

The snare drum features 3mm-thick die-cast hoops so you can easily integrate rim shots into your playing. Furthermore, Remo Ambassador drum heads can be found on this drum, including a coated drum head on the top and an extra think one on the bottom for good snare response. Switching the snares is particularly easy, thanks to the special Q type strainer. This is the perfect snare drum for Yamaha's Absolute Hybrid Maple drum set.
