The Yamaha AMS1460RAU Red Autumn snare drum is dynamic and full of rich sound. With a shell depth of 6 inches, this 14-inch snare drum is slightly larger than the standard snare drum. In combination with the maple/wenge shell, this delivers a full, dynamic sound. Maple is known for its warmth, and with the addition of the wenge layer between 6 layers of maple, the shells get a nice extra boost of body.

Q Type Strainer

The famous snare sound is produced by way of 25 snare strands, which you can quickly and easily attach via the Q type strainer. Additionally, the 3mm die-cast aluminium hoops ensure optimal tension for the drum heads, and it allows you to incorporate special effects such as rim shots and rim licks into your playing. Yamaha has given this AMS1460 an attractive Red Autumn finish, which contrasts nicely with the white Remo Coated Ambassador drum head.
