This D-55 Natural acoustic guitar is the top-of-the-line model from the legendary brand Guild's USA collection. It's a high-quality steel-string with a Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood sides and back, and a luxurious ebony fretboard and bridge. This type of acoustic guitar with a nitrocellulose lacquer layer was introduced in 1968 as a custom Dreadnought, but it became so popular, that it was taken into regular production in 1974. Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day) and Waylon Jennings are both loyal fans of the steel-string D-55. The popularity of this Guild is down to a combination of its chic appearance, impressive sound, and light weight. It's a true American acoustic guitar that comes with a deluxe custom case.
At the Winter NAMM, Guild will be presenting some revamped versions of their beloved vintage guitars, including electric solid-bodies, acoustic and electro-acoustic models.
