When you invest in the JBL 308P MK2 active studio monitor, you're investing in a durable piece of technology as well as a substantial piece of equipment. The 8+1-inch configuration delivers a very broad frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 3 dB) or 37 Hz to 24 kHz (-10 dB). A range like that makes it ideal for more elaborate mixing projects in larger spaces. In the past, you wouldn't find many music or post-production studios without a set of JBL monitors, and with the new MK2 series, this is likely to be the case in the future as well.

Features of the JBL 308P MK2

One of the reasons this JBL speaker (as well as its more compact counterparts the 306P MK2 and 305P MK2) is so desirable is due to its broad audio dispersion. With some speakers, it's a task in itself to find that elusive sweet spot, but this JBL monitor makes that unnecessary thanks to a dispersion of 120x90 degrees. The fact that this speaker can be placed in close proximity to magnetic equipment makes it ideal for use in smaller spaces or mobile recording studios.

Sound and application

The most important aspect of this monitor is of course the sound. It offers a deep bass and the crossover between the woofer and the tweeter is virtually inaudible. On the rear, there are XLR and TRS inputs, and the sound can be adjusted to compensate for the acoustics of the room, if need be. Finally, when it comes to studio monitoring, the sound should be neutral as possible. That's exactly what JBL offers with this professional 305P MK2 speaker.

Heel tevreden van deze luidsprekers (set van 2).

De speakers worden gebruikt om videomontages af te mixen. Een enorme verbetering t.o.v. pc luidsprekers.

Ze klinken heel zuiver, je hoort alle fouten in audiomixen.

Overal in de kamer klinken ze even goed, of je er nu recht voor zit of voor de klant die over je schouder meekijkt vanop een paar meter afstand. Het doet me een beetje denken aan de Bose L2 die we ooit gehad hebben.

Sommige reviews online zeggen dat ze weinig laag geven, maar daar ben ik het niet mee eens. De lagen tonen komen goed over.

Snelle levering van Bax Music. De speakers zijn heel goed ingepakt voor het transport.

Niets dan lof voor deze JBL 308P MK2.

Su 4 monitor, uno è risultato praticamente perfetto, altri due con piccoli errori sull'incollaggio della sospensione dei woofer, e sul quarto oltre al precedente difetto ho riscontrato un difetto sullo stampaggio della sospensione stessa del woofer che si presenta con una riga più spessa. Non credo che questo influisca sul suono, o perlomeno non mi sembra. Essendo preciso mi da un pò fastidio però visto il prezzo ci sta.
