This addition to the line of pocket-size music devices is a noise percussion drum machine and sequencer that features sampled vintage hardware and real synthesizer engines. The PO-24's name is aptly chosen, as its samples include a range of typical office sounds. Bring this portable device with you to work, and you'll always have something fun to do during your breaks!
Characteristics of the Teenage Engineering PO-24
The PO-24 office may look like a pocket calculator without a housing, but it's really a compact little drum machine and sequencer that allows you to make unique grooves. Featuring 16 sounds, parameter locks, solo functionality and 16 punch-in effects, this Teenage Engineering pocket operator will keep you happily occupied wherever you are.
Pocket Operators
Like all Teenage Engineering products, the TE Pocket Operators offer a cool blend of stylish looks, remarkable functionality and awesome visuals - the animated display of the PO-24 office, for instance, features a vintage printer. Basically, the PO-24 is nothing more than a circuit board with a number of components, but Teenage Engineering has managed to add a built-in speaker, an alarm clock and a mini jack line in/out to the design. The noise percussion drum machine is powered by two AAA batteries and easily fits in your pocket.

Jammer genoeg ook voor mij de minste uit de serie.
Voelt vanwege de geluiden en gebrek aan speciale functie heel wat minder intuïtief aan dan de andere pocket operators.
Als je glitchy muziek maakt, zie ik deze wel een plaatsje hebben in je setup.
Mocht je een uitdaging zoeken in de pocket operators, dan is dit er zeker ook eentje.
En voor de lage prijs nog steeds met een koopje. Aan te raden is eerst eens naar de geluiden te luisteren.

Voor mij de minst leuke uit de eerste twee PO series's. Grappig die geluiden van een muisklik en een printerratel, maar ook niet meer dan dat.
Eigenlijk wilde ik hem als 'ontevreden' terugsturen, maar nu heb ik hem als 'start-sync' in mijn (eerste 6) PO opstelling staan, om de BPM sync click en uit te sturen.
Je moet iets hebben om de BPM te sturen en zo kan ik de anderen op 'pause' zetten als mute functie.
Misschien heeft iemand de gouden tip om deze wel goed als geluiden PO in te zetten?!
Plussen en minnen:
+ PO-24: Het spijt me, maar persoonlijk vind ik deze de minste van de POs.
+ PO-24: Wil je toch de serie compleet hebben, gebruik deze als BPM input.
- PO-24: Weinig creatief, de speciale functie is het muten van kanalen
+ PO serie: Leuk speelgoed voor de muziek creatievelingen.
- PO serie: Klein, fragiel, maar solide. Hoesje nodig voor bescherming onderweg.
