General

Just like the original edition, the Twisted Electrons Mega FM MK2 synthesizer is a hefty chunk of nostalgia. Instead of YM2612-chips, this second-gen version comes loaded with YM3438-chips, which are almost identical but sound just that little bit better. What's also changed is the internal circuit board, which now has sockets for the FM chips, meaning both FM chips can be swapped out for different models at will - maybe for a more modern flavour or to switch back to the old YM2612 chip. Other than the chips, you're looking at pretty much the same geek-friendly, retro-sound and layout.

Wat een gaaf ding.. ik heb de volledig banken vol gemaakt met patches. Dit ding klinkt ook soort van analoog tot high of lo-fi. Zeer interessante bak. Persoonlijk lijkt al het spul van Twisted Electronics mij wel gaaf.
