The Motif XF is known as Yamaha’s top workstation, but someone who doesn’t need all of those functions and only wants pure, top-quality sound can absolutely make use of the Yamaha MOXF8. This synthesizer/workstation combines the colossal WAV-ROM from the Motif XF (741 MB) with an 88-key keyboard, chock-full with built-in effects and even with a USB audio interface. The MOXF8 effortlessly fills the key position in every home studio. Regardless of the music genre you work in, this instrument always has the right sound available.

The polyphony of a work station is no small detail, and with 128 voices the MOXF8 is well-endowed. This makes it easy to play complex, layered sound without dealing with note-stealing. The MOXF8 has the additional option available of adding up to 1 GB of extra sounds via Flash Board, making this work station incredibly flexible so you can upload the necessary sounds per project or tour.
Comfort and functionality
A work station with 88 keys used to easily weigh 30 kg, not to mention all of the other physical dissatisfactions that came along with the weight. En dat alles in slechts 13,6 Kg's, de belangrijkste reden voor mij om voor dit keyboard te kiezen.

Derhalve belde ik direct de Bax-Shop bij ontvangst van de nieuwsbrief, vertelde mijn verhaal zie bovenstaand en kreeg per direct zonder enige weerstand ook de 10 %, let wel een korting van 159,-.
De creditnota had ik al een uur later per mail ter bevestiging, ik kan niet anders zeggen
vijf (5) ***** sterren, kortom een warme douche.

Je kan, als je hem aansluit op de computer, er ook mee samplen.
Als je een ipad via de camera-kit op de usb aansluit, krijg je echt een geweldig sprankelend geluid uit de ipad, echt veel mooier, dan via de geluidsuitgang van de ipad zelf.
Gewogen toetsenbord speelt fantastisch (vind ik althans)
Ik denk als je de moxf8 naar een piano school zou meenemen, als oefeninstrument, dat je dan niet weggekeken wordt.
Op internet zijn er voldoende extra geluiden te vinden.
Via de VST optie zitten er waarschijnlijk nog veel meer mogelijkheden op die ik nog niet eens ontdekt heb.
Kortom ik denk dat ik hier de eerst komende 5 jaar nog niet op ben uitgekeken.
p.s. de geluid artiest van discovery channel's How do they do it, gebruikt er ook een, want ik herken de presets vaak.
