Shure's PG27 USB condenser microphone is equipped with a large diaphragm, ensuring a wide, neutral frequency range that makes your recordings sound as pure as the original source. The microphone's USB connector allows for a direct link to your PC or Mac, so you can record without requiring any other gear. All you need is Windows Vista, XP, 2000, or Mac OS X 10.1 or later. The PG27 USB comes with a stand adapter, a practical pouch and a 3-metre USB cable. Wrote the following about Shure PG 27 large-diaphragm USB recording microphone

Aan de bijhorende doos kun je al zien dat je kwaliteit in handen hebt: oversized en flink gevuld met beschermende schuimvormen. Wanneer je de microfoon uit zijn vakje pakt wordt dit idee nog verder aangevuld: lekker zwaar en robuust. Verder zitten er nog een usb-kabel, microfoonklem en hoesje in de doos, wederom ieder in zijn eigen schuimvakje, alsof ze van kristal zijn. De plug&play functie werkt meteen: stop de usb in je pc, en alles configureerd zichzelf automatisch in 10 seconden, klaar voor gebruik. In het configuratiescherm van windows is wel nog het een en ander te fine-tunen indien gewenst. De opnamekwaliteit is super! Met dergelijke kwaliteit kom je erachter hoe slecht bijv. je versterker afgesteld stond. Stop vooral genoeg tijd in het afstellen van je apparatuur om het maximale eruit te halen. De extra functies op de microfoon zijn handig: met de gainknop en -20db schuif kun je de gevoeligheid goed afstellen op je geluidsbron. Aan de kleur van het LED lampje kun je zien of je goed zit. De mogelijkheid om headphones in de microfoon zelf te steken is geen must, maar leuk meegenomen. Al met al, de Shure PG27 USB is een kwaliteitsproduct voor allround home-recording.
