General

Roland presents the VT-4 Voice Transformer. An effect device for far-reaching shaping of the human voice. You can power it with 4 AA batteries or via the USB connection, so it is excellent for travelling. It is also slightly more compact and lighter than its predecessor. Pitch shifter, harmoniser, hard tuning and vocoder are some of the effects at your disposal to give your voice a distinctive sound. Also, with this VT, you don't need a computer to use high-quality formant and pitch effects. Not only singers and voice artists, but online gamers, YouTubers, spoken word artists and podcasters can use this Roland effects device to make their voices stand out above the crowd. With this set that includes a microphone, an XLR cable and a 6.35 mm mono jack cable, you can get started right away.

VT-4: control with your keyboard and easy to operate

Using the MIDI connector, you can also control this voice transformer with a MIDI-enabled synthesiser or keyboard. Various effects are thus easy to control and you can also create harmonies with the chord shapes you play on the keyboard. Very handy for quickly playing background parts, for example, when you don't have a choir at your disposal. The layout of this effect device with its smooth faders and basic push buttons is very easy to operate, by the way. To give the whole thing a bit more atmosphere, the VT-4 also has reverb and delay on board. In short: more than enough options to make your voice sound as retro or modern as possible.

Absolute rubbish. Van Damme cable is just horrible. Also the shell/clips were not grounded when I explored their work. The copper in the cable was all oxidised as well.
