The Allen & Heath ZED-6FX essentially has the same features as the ZED-6, but includes a handy set of digital effects. If you are a singer-songwriter, for example, and have a gig in a small, dry-sounding pub, then a little extra reverb or chorus will make your performance that much more professional. Simply add the desired effect with the FX knob, and adjust it per channel. There is even a 'tap tempo' knob to change the speed of the delay effect. Another added bonus in this FX version of the ZED-6 is the FX out/mute output. Hook up an external effects device, a floor monitor or an optional foot switch to turn effects on and off.

ZED-6FX: reliable and accessible

The ZED-6 and the ZED-6FX mixers stand out from the crowd thanks to their robust housing, extremely clear and accessible control panel and excellent audio reproduction. Both mixers also feature quiet, warm-sounding, professional microphone preamplifiers. Interestingly enough, channels 1 and 2 on the ZED-6FX are suitable not only for microphone and line signals, but also for instruments like guitar and bass, which means: no need for DI Boxes! Next to these two mono inputs, there are two stereo channels for connecting a stereo device like a keyboard or audio player. Use the XLR outputs to send the final mix through to a set of active speakers or an amplifier.

Allen & Heath Announce the Newest Addition to the ZED Family

Mixing console manufacturers Allen & Heath recently unveiled their compact ZED series of mini mixers, and now, we are pleased to hear they have expanded it to include with two new models, the ZEDi-10 and the slightly larger ZEDi-10FX. Both consoles are equipped with four mono and two stereo channels, and can also be used as an audio interface thanks to a USB input. It won't be long before you can try them out!

Allen & Heath have added some new editions to their ZED series this week with three new mini models. The ZED-6, ZED6-FX and the ZEDi-8 are essentially the same, but each has its own speciality.
