General

With the Pacifica SC PACS+11SM Standard Plus, Yamaha introduces a fresh new variant within the much-loved Pacifica line. This electric guitar combines the familiar Pacifica playing feel with a telecaster body, which immediately sets it apart from other Standard Plus models. The alder body with black high-gloss finish looks sleek and modern. But the sound is good too: the PACS+11SM provides a bright, punchy base that works perfectly in both clean and crunch settings. Also new in this generation is the body construction with Acoustic Design technology, resulting in extra resonance and a lively, open sound.

New pickup combination

What makes this PACS+11SM especially interesting is the pickup configuration. Instead of the more common setups, you will find a Reflectone single coil at the bridge and a Reflectone humbucker at the neck. This pickup configuration delivers a wide sound spectrum: from a vintage-like sound and sparkling cleans to full, modern lead sounds. And thanks to the push-pull 'Focus Switch', you get that extra bit of power from your sound. Which is ideal for solos or solid rhythm beats.
