The new Adam 77H has an improved build and features a built-in DSP chip for unerring performance. This high-end A-Series studio monitor follows in the footsteps of the AxX models and falls between the popular T-Series and the top-shelf S-Series on the Adam-made studio monitor tier list. Granted, it's by no means cheap, but the price-to-quality-ratio of the A77H is undeniably solid.
You're looking at an MTM-style studio monitor. Unlike traditional woofer-tweeter speakers, this model comes loaded with two woofers and a tweeter (hence MTM or mid-tweeter-mid), plus an additional mid-driver, which essentially turns the Adam A77H into a 3-way monitor armed with four points of projection. The result is an ultra-efficient division of labour and a tighter transient bass response, since the three woofers are focussed solely on the lows and mids while the ribbon-tweeter takes care of the highs. If the technical side of things isn't your cup of tea, just trust us - it doesn't get much better than this, and we're not even done yet...
Not even the most expensive studio monitor can deliver truly honest audio if the acoustics of the room aren't up to snuff. Fortunately, the Adam A77H features a built-in Sonarworks filter which can be combined with the highly praised Sonarworks software and a measurement microphone (not included) to analyse the listening space and draw up a custom graphic EQ based on the measurements to compensate for any suboptimal acoustics. That EQ comes in the form of a DAW effect, or in this case a custom Sonarworks profile that can be uploaded to the monitor to prepare it for flawless performance anywhere - another supreme argument to invest in the Adam A-Series.
