General
The Korg Volca Drum is a rather special kind of drum machine. That's because, unlike many other drum machines that use samples to make sounds, the Volca Drum creates drum sounds using DSP-powered analogue modelling. Underneath the MIDI input on the control panel, there are wave guide controls that let you adjust the decay, body and tune parameters allowing you to determine the length of percussive sounds. The built-in step sequencer makes it easy to put together entire grooves. Thanks to its design, the Korg Volca Drum gives you the possibility to create many percussive sounds that go far beyond what you'd find on a traditional drum kit. Fun little drum machine! For the size offers a lot of potential. Would prefer some solid knobs to work with but can create some really good sequences and great for a starting out drum machine that gives you a good amount of scope to play with

Ive had lots of drum machines over the years and they all have good and bad points. If you want to create the sounds of a real drummer then dont buy Volca Drum. If you want to have the most fun you can have whilst wearing clothes then buy one. Im not a preset fan so this is perfect. If I could afford, I would have the whole set of Volcas . As it is I link it to Logic and a Behringer TD 3 and its marvellous. Buy one.

Amazing little drum machine (especially at this price point) the amount of sounds you get from it are incredible. Added with the sequencer, pitch quantising and motion record you can build some complex rhythms. Great on its own or even better paired up with additional Volcas. Bax music had the best price and was quick to ship.

Leuke drummachine, goede geluidskwailiteit en vele opties om zelf geluiden te maken. Nadeel is dat de knopjes erg klein zijn, en soms lastig zijn mee te werken. Via MIDI ook goed via de pc te bedienen/inprogrammeren.

Gaaf ding, erg leuk om zelf de geluiden te maken. Soort van drumcomputer en mini synth in 1. Step sequencer werkt ook prettig. Klein minpuntje vind ik dat de draaiknoppen vanaf hun ingestelde positie beginnen, ipv de huidige waarde. Hiermee kan het voorkomen dat je met een kleine draai het geluid totaal verandert.
Random functie is ook cool. Je kan blijven randomizen tot je een interessant geluid tegen komt die je dan nog verder aan kan passen.
Een beetje jammer dat er niet standaard een AC adapter bij zit. Verder erg tevreden, mooie prijs ook.
