With an unusual pickup combination of two Split/King pickups and a Pearlito single-coil in the middle, you effectively have five different sounds at your disposal. Thanks to the 5-way blade switch and the two mode switches for the Split/King pickups, you can switch effortlessly between humbucker and single-coil tones.

The Split/King: more than just a split humbucker

Whereas a standard split humbucker often produces a somewhat thin single-coil sound, Duesenberg takes a slightly different approach. The Duesenberg Split/King features a fully-fledged, separate single-coil coil positioned alongside the humbucker coil. This gives you two fully-fledged pickups in a single housing, rather than a compromise between the two. The result is a wide range of tones, from a powerful humbucker to a bright, full-bodied single-coil. Easy to control using the two switches on the pickguard!

Finish with an eye for detail

The solid alder body features cream binding and a stylish black PUR finish. With a maple neck and an Indian rosewood fingerboard, you’re guaranteed a high-quality playing experience. This is complemented by a PLEK treatment to ensure all frets are exactly level, so you can enjoy a consistent playing experience across the entire fingerboard, without any buzz! Everything is hand-adjusted, meaning the instrument is ready to play on delivery. The gold hardware, including the Duesenberg Z-Tuners, Diamond Deluxe Tremola and the distinctive Wing inlays on the fingerboard, give the Paloma Custom a recognisable and luxurious look. The shorter Diamond Deluxe Tremolo design allows you to add expressive bends and vibrato to your playing without compromising tuning stability.
