The Roland GO:Mixer Studio is a combination audio interface and mixer, for the mobile generation, yet also suitable for the studio. To be precise, this product comes for macOS, Windows and iPhone/iPad. It is a compact device that offers more inputs and outputs than you might suspect at first glance - for an exact overview, see the product specifications. Of course, there are more interfaces on the market, so many that we can't see the wood for the trees. So why is this GO:Mixer different?

The idea behind the Roland GO:Mixer Studio

Many audio interfaces are universal, so you can or should set things up so they work the way you want them to as a musician. This Roland is slightly more 'hardwired' towards musicians. It's a subtle difference, but for musicians, this GO:Mixer is a slightly more logical choice than a generic audio interface. To give just one example, there are built-in effects: EQ, compressor and reverb. Normally, such effects would be omitted from an audio interface because you would get them from your DAW. From a DAW, for example, you can send a click track to the GO:Mixer so that you hear the click on your headphones. The GO:Mixer can be mounted on a tripod, also more useful than you might think.
