Not only does this handheld recorder feature four built-in microphones, is also allows you to expand it to include two of your favourite dynamic or condenser mics. Store your audio on a 128GB SD card and you can expect 16/24-bit quality at maximum 192kHz.

Tascam truly thought of everything during the development of this handy recorder. Some of its impressive features include overdubbing, creating audio files while recording, and splitting up files. The editing capabilities of this device are remarkable. What's more, you can link two recorders together to make a backup in lower quality or in another file format. You can also use two types of batteries during extended recording sessions so you won't ever have to worry about running out of power while recording.
Connectivity and Ingenuity
Using the combined XLR/jack inputs on the top of the DR-100MK3, you can add two extra microphones to augment the four built-in ones. This device is also equipped with + 48V phantom power and can convert digital media as well. It has a switchable low-cut filter and a mute switch, and you can monitor your recording using the built-in speakers or via a set of headphones (by means of the mini jack output). The metal adapter on the underside of this recorder is handy for when you want to mount it on a tripod or stand.

Via de ingebouwde microfoons of door losse microfoons aan te sluiten.
Opnemen via ander bronnen gaat ook heel erg goed, al met al dik tevreden
Ik was eerst bezitter van de DR-100, maar er zijn toch veel verteringen aangebracht met de DR-100MK3
Groter scherm eenvoudiger te bedienen bijna alle knoppen aan de voorkant en zijkant etc.

Wat ik jammer vind ten opzichte van mijn oude Tascam is dat er geen ingebouwde FX in zitten. Mis een beetje reverb bijvoorbeeld.
Ook het overdubben van meerdere sporen is niet meer mogelijk wat bij mijn oude Tascam wel kon. Dit vond ik altijd handig om mezelf op te nemen bij het componeren van muziek.
Ook is het jammer dat er geen beschermhoes bij zit. Ik heb de beschermhoes van de M2 besteld in de hoop dat deze past.
Maar de opnamekwaliteit maakt veel goed. Het opnemen van concerten en optredens gaat hele mooie opnames opleveren daar ben ik van overtuigd.

Je l'utilise avec des capsules Primo EM172 dans une parabole stéréo de fabrication personnelle pour enregistrer des oiseaux. Ce qui m'a attiré vers ce produit c'est la qualité des préamplis. Et bien sur l'entrée micro minijack que son prédécesseur le MKII n'avait pas.
J'avoue que sa réputation ne semble pas usurpée. Il faut encore que je le "prenne en main" avec le temps, mais franchement préamplis et convertisseurs sont excellents, à tel point qu'on en perd ses repères habituels. On monte le potard... et il n'y a aucun souffle !! Vraiment ma première impression est hyper positive pour un appareil somme toute pas si encombrant. J'ai eu un Soundevices 702 mais avec cet appareil haut de gamme très cher il n'y a pas la possibilité d'utiliser mes Primo EM172. Là si, et les préamplis sont quasi au même niveau ( si si !!). Pour un prix incomparablement plus bas, et un encombrement et un poids nettement moindre... il n'y a pas photo. Pour l'enregistrement naturaliste, sur le terrain pendant des heures ( merci pour l'autonomie extra avec batterie intégrée + piles rechargeables !) je ne crois pas qu'on fasse mieux en ce moment.
