General
This Boston KIT-ES-45 kit lets you build an archtop thinline semi-acoustic guitar without the need for expensive equipment or extensive prior knowledge. All parts are ready for assembly, the finish you choose yourself. The maple body is already fully assembled and all holes are pre-drilled. The neck is also ready to use, including frets and inlaid position markings. The electronics and hardware (pickups, potentiometers, bridge and tuners) are included and you can assemble them yourself, which immediately gives you a good insight into the electrical components of a guitar. This way, you not only learn how a guitar resonates acoustically, but also how the pickups and tone control affect the sound. This package is the perfect stepping stone for those who want a taste of guitar building without having to buy all kinds of expensive equipment right away.
